The Puffin, Martin and Halibut

The lodge has three oceanfront cabins each named after different Alaskan animals. All three cabins are connected by a boardwalk that also connects to the main lodge "Whale House" and the dock. Halibut, Martin, and Puffin - are perched on stilts at the edge of the Cove. Lots of glass on the sea side permits unobstructed views across Icy Strait. It is not unusual to see bald eagles, sea otters, harbor seals, and humpback whales out your window. Typically there are two guests per cabin, but each can accommodate an extra person.

Meals

Our days start in the lodge with sourdough pancakes, egg dishes, oatmeal, or other hearty breakfasts while lunches are usually eaten on the Yakobi or perhaps on a beach or riverbank.  Dinners feature fresh seafood - salmon, halibut, shrimp and crabs - prepared using some of our favorite traditional recipes.  Home made desserts top off the meal and the day.
